Where Have I Been?
It's been almost a full year since i've published. What's going on with my life? I must say that a lot has changed in the past year. I've moved, begun a new job, and experienced a fair amount of cool things. I need to blog more often...Life is happening...and it won't stop...

Windy Gap
I just recently got the chance to hang out at Windy Gap for family weekend. Windy Gap is a Young Life property just outside Asheville in the mountains of North Carolina. It was an awesome experience. I spent the weekend with High School and College students serving families in efforts for them to experience an weekend getting to know Jesus. I've been a server in a restaurant before. It is a stressful job. There was the same, if not more, physical amount of strain on my body as was during those 5 years of serving. Although the stress was the same physically, this was a completely different experience. I've become a fan of Young Life and the way that they do things for life.

Buried Life Continued
I'm currently on a road trip to the mountains of NC. The scenery is beautiful and the ride is perfect. I absolutely love the mountains and would love to go as often as I possibly can. It seems that quite frequently while I'm on these trips or quiet times on the road I get an awesome chance to reflect and think. Often times my thinking heads towards things to come. I'm going to continue my bucket list as I've had quite a bit of time to think about this since the last post.
16. Own an old truck from the 70's.
17. Take pictures of people near a white picket fence with the sun rising or setting.
18. Go deep sea fishing
19. Buy my mother a car
20. Plant a tree
21. Do a stand up comedy routine (and be funny)
22. See the sunrise and set from the top of a mountain.
23. Drive coast to coast
24. Go to a movie by myself
25. Ask a random girl out on a date
26. Change my own oil
27. Own a jeep wrangler
28. Make a movie (seriously... Why not?!)
29. Guest or co-host a radio show
30. Have a nice watch collection

The Boss
I was at church tonight and I was talking to my little buddy Abigail. She showed me her shirt. I said, "you're the boss?" To which she replied "yes." I said, "if you're the boss, I need a raise." She looked at me with a duh kind of face. "I don't HAVE any raisins."
Cute kid.

The Buried Life
I've been watching the mtv show The Buried Life recently. It is probably one of the most inspiring things I've seen on tv in quite a while. It's the story of a group of young men who are crossing off things on their bucket list. The cool thing about the show is the way they are not just selfishly accomplishing their own things. Each episode, they try their hardest to help someone else accomplish something off of their own bucket list. It is awesome to see young, passionate, people accomplishing their dreams of helping others accomplish dreams.
I'm going to start compiling a list of 100 things to do before I die now. Anybody else who wants in on this is certainly welcome.
1. Have a family
2. See Europe
3. Run a half-marathon
4. Dunk a basketball at 35
5. Buy a random family's meal at a restaurant.
6. Meet John Mayer
7. Create and publish a coffee table photo book (ideas already pending)
8. Own a business
9. Live on the water
10. Write enough music to have an album
11. Send kids to college
12. Win a championship in some kind of basketball league (as a player and coach)
13. Go to an MLB baseball game on the 4th of July
14. See all 50 states
15. Become a great photographer
more to come...

inspired
I want to be inspired... I want to inspire... I have vision to create imaginatively... I want to create... I want to see the world in a different light...
A friend of mine tweeted this quote of a song lyric today and it stirred me up a little bit...
"There's too many things I haven't done yet. Too many sunsets that I haven't seen."
Thats good {inspiring} stuff.
